90 tsi tps

I have a 90 tsi that I bought without engine. built engine put everything back in the car but there is no TPS connection in my harness. Did a 90 talon not have a TPS or am I missing something.

On a 90, the tps, (and the cas), harnesses plug in on the firewall.

There should be a couple of empty sockets on the firewall. Be sure the right harness goes to the right plug, and you're good to go.

Thanks, I thought so I know the CAS plugs in on the firewall and there is an extra plug there so I guess I am just missing a wireing harness from the TPs to the firewall. Thanks for the help

No worries, it's what we're here for.

It can be a little confusing to put together something you didn't take apart.

If that's the only issue you have, you've done really well.

The 90 tps had a pigtail harness, (very similiar to the cas.) If your tps doesn't have the pigtail, you'll need one from a 90 model year vehicle. You should be able to score one fairly easily from a local boneyard.

Another point, the 1990 TPS plug is four wires, three for the TPS and one for the idle position switch.
