I'm doing a 6 bolt swap and I have the motor in and everything all done except the throttle body. The engine was from a 90 gsx. I understand the 2g TPS has 4 wires and the 90 TPS only has 3. I also understand the 90 has a CTPS (closed throttle position switch). Around here it's pretty hard to find parts so I would much rather wire the harness into the 90 TPS. Does anyone by chance know the schematics of the TPS on both the 2g and the 90 TPS?

I have been calling everywhere around here the past couple days for a 91-94 throttle body. I don't even have the funds right now to buy one. This is the only thing stopping me from starting the car for the first time. I would very much appreciate it.

I have a 2g with a 1990 motor in it. In the process of a 6 bolt swap. The 1990 throttle body is different than the 91-99 throttle bodies because of the tps. I want to use the 90 throttle body with the 90 tps so I need to hard wire the tps to my harness. The 2g is 4 wire, 1 of which is the ctps. I just wanna know which wires are which so I can wire it up. I can just run the separate ctps wire to the throttle switch on the 90 throttle body if I know the diagram.

I think I finally found what I was looking for. Atleast I assume this is right. Quoted from Steve:

"For future reference from the FSM:

2G 4G63T TPS
1 - Green/Yellow (+5v Sensor Power)
2 - Brown/Red (TPS output voltage)
3 - Yellow/Red (IPS switch)
4 - Black (Ground)

1G 4G63T TPS
1 - Green/Red (+5v Sensor Power)
2 - Green/White (TPS output voltage)
3 - NC
4 - Green/Black (Ground)

Steve"

I'll give that a try. I just went to 3 different places to look for some bolts to plug the oil filter housing lines that had ran to the stock oil cooler. 16mm x 1.5 pitch and no one in the town or any surrounding towns sell them. Is there any other way to plug them since I currently don't have a cooler nor the lines. If I had the lines I would loop them. Thanks.

I may end up going the aftermarket route for an oil cooler in the future but as of right now I'm just looking to get me by enough to get the motor running and lightly tuned with ECMLink. If I had the cooler and lines I would just use them. I was hoping I wouldn't have to order anything but apparently 4 hardware stores and 3 auto parts stores cant carry a 16mm fine thread bolt.

You can find M16 x 1.5mm pitch "auto drain plugs" at Lowes -- or at least I did, Hillman brand, item #231853, model #884261. Here's one I was testing on the 1G water pipe, also M16x1.5.

When I get some extra cash I'll check into getting an oil cooler. For now I just wanna make sure I can get this going how I want. I got me some 1200 cc PTE's I need to learn to dial in when and IF I get this started. I went big on the injectors for future upgrades.

Thanks for the idea from Lowes. I'll definitely have to make a trip over there to get some.

baseinjectordata [ECMTuning - wiki] - doesn't show PTE 1200's, but you can use the FIC 1150 and PTE 1000 settings to help figure out what the 1200's need

Nice, I checked that out when I had first gotten ECMLink but noticed the 1200's weren't on there. Hopefully I can figure out a happy medium between the two. Thanks
