Throttle body? TPS?

I'm having some issues with my throttle since installing my new 6 bolt. Here is what happens, the car runs perfectly fine as long as my RPM's dont go over 4k, if they do the throttle goes wide open and will only stop if I push in the cluth (works sometimes) or turn off the car. I was trying to narrow down the problem between mechanical and electronic, (dirty throttle body vs. bad TPS) so I lubricated all the exposed cable but to no avail. THis leads me to believe its the TPS.

On a side note, i was looking at pics of other throttle bodies and the cables/hoses/lines going in and out to see if something was not properly reconneted in the engine install, and noticed that on the top of the throttle body where there are several hoses connected with various letters on the throttle body, there is one hose missing from mine. The hole with the letter "P" has nothing connected, could this be part of the problem? Any help is greatly appriciated. Thanks!

Have you tested the TPS? Check your manual on how to do it. I can't remember exactly which wires to probe, but it should read .5 volts (with a .02 margin of error) at idle and move smoothly to about 5 volts and back when you rev it.

I don't know where the original line went on the throttlebody. Somebody on here should chime in, but you might as well just cap it off for the time being. It's probably causing a big ol' leak.

I would suspect your throttle body vacuum lines to be the problem over a TPS sensor. I've never heard of the TPS sensor causing problems like you have posted unless for some strange reason the internal spring seized up causing the throttle to stick. I would try and verify smooth throttle operation by moving the butterfly spring with your hand to see if there are any restrictions.

Your throttle body lines go to all of your emissions, but can be removed by capping off all the nipples on the top of your throttle body. Find an old piece of vacuum hose and fold it over with a zip tie to block off the nipple and post back. Also verify that all your other lines are either blocked off, or plugged in where they need to go.
