are 90 talon eagle talon awd manual transmission really that hard to find and is it possible to use another tranny from a diffrent year or is there anyone that rebuilds them for a good price near pittsburgh pa

You could do any of your options.

I've had/have 3 awd 90's. The 22 splines aren't hard to find, just post in the classifieds.

You can use a 23 spline, but you'll need the 91+ trans, tcase, shift cables, and possibly shift base.

If you're just looking for a stock rebuild, any tranny shop should be good to do it. Otherwise, there's plenty of vendors on here that will rebuild them for fair prices.

Tie your shoes on tight open your toolbox and your mind they aren't all that complicated. Just pay ATTENTION TO TOLERANCES

While you're at it you might as well get at least a stage 1 tranny...

Prob. would save you time and money in the long run

Changing to a 91+ transmission is cake work get the 91+ transmission...23 spline transfer case...91+ shifter cables... and a 91+ shifter base and your good to go takes a day to do and then BOOM your good to go its simple easy and is very straight forward :thumb:

Source: i just did this 5 months ago and it was easy as pie :)
