420A 95 Eagle Talon ESi transmission probs

Transmission shifts fine when cold start but when warms up itll shift down hard and stay in 3rd and won't shift at all nor down or up until shut off for a while replaced speed sensors ans it worked for a little bit but acted up again any ideas of what it may be doing and it is a (1995 eagle talon esi n/t 2.0)

It could be a bad governor assembly. It is driven by the output shaft. It senses road speed and controls shifting.
