I have a 95 Eagle Talon ESi with the 420a with an automatic, bone stock. This is not my car I've been working on it for my buddy all summer. It has 150k miles and has been sitting for 10 years.
Here's what I've done so far, it has a rebuilt head I put on with new head gasket and head studs. I've done a coolant temp sensor, MAP sensor, cam and crank sensors, coil pack, spark plugs, fuel filter, 3 different fuel pumps, timing belt, water pump, tensioner, thermostat, throttle body, PCV valve, 3 different sets of injectors, 2 different fuel pressure regulators, front O2 sensor, and last but not least both sets of intake gaskets.
My problem is it either has a hard start or it rev hangs and smells like straight gas. It used to die after 10 minutes of driving and that's when I tried the fuel filter so now it doesn't die and drives great down the road. Sometimes when coming to a stop the RPMs would dip so low it'd die, and it sounds like it's got a small misfire.
I'm at my wits end with this thing I've swapped literally every sensor in this car 3 times from all my spare parts or I've bought new if some tested bad. I have not a single clue what to look for next. It's throwing me no codes and even when I hook multiple different scan tools up I get nothing.
