Resolved 90 Eagle Talon TSi with 91 harness and ECU swap

Hi, I was wondering that if I have to swap the pins if I'm changing out the ECU also?

I have read all the other posts about if you use the 90 ECU, but I'm curious about this.

I'm in the process of putting the engine and tranny in the car. I've also changed out the engine bay harness and working on the dash harness. Reason being that I have the cam sensor and TPS off of a 91. Is using these parts and doing that wiring swap going to cause any problems?

Yes 90 91 ecu changes change pins 6 and 14, vfaq.com just follow that and youll have no problems pull them out insert them in the connector done. tps i belive is the same just plug it in, it should be the same.

but I'm have also replaced the harness with a 91 harness, basically all the harnesses in the car are from a 91, including the ecu...so i would think that i wouldn't have to change any pins, am i correct in thinking this?

well if your changing all of it your fine from the same year, just swap it.

ok thank you. was just wondering if i was going about it right. just wanted to make sure before we dropped the engine in and ran into a problem.

just curious, why do you want to swap it? i know 90 is different from 91-94 but are you have some issues with the 90 stuff?
