Mine also spools extremely slow. I get 25-30psi by 5500rpm. Its most likly the wrong manifold set-up. I wonder if this effects output of the turbo if it effects spool so much?
Hey, are you sure you have a 12cm ex housing? I got a WH1C that has a 20cm housing, but it looks just like a 12cm, and I'm getting spool results just like you.
12cm is stamped into it so I assume its 12cm. Also thats what it was listed as. Are you using an open manifold also? Also my compressor is for sure a 7-blade hx-35 as I have replaced the wheel when I rebuilt it.
85-90% from 7.5k to 8.5k. We tried adding fuel and it did nothing. It really isn't a big deal I'll just -6 or -8 lines and an inline bosch. I already have the parts needed
.
and congrats on 500+ hp on your hx35 bro. real nice...I'll get back to you later.
I really hope you do.
Just to clear up any miscommunication here, I am not against Holset's I had one on my old DSM (sold a few months ago) it had a HX35 bolton i got for $400 with feed & return lines.
The performance was awesome, it wasn't comparable to the 16G spool but I'll tell you this that thing moved, before it left I had the best tune I've ever had on that car with boost only at 28psi spike to 25psi. It had an internal gate which I believe held its performance back.
When I make my comments on here, its because I feel people are exaggerating which misleads others and I know its not what I'm here for, also others get that syndrome where they believe something is better than it really is.
I never got to dyno or track my car like I wanted to, and from the results others have presented I can say that my car felt like that and others that have driven my car would say that is believable.
I got a new auto for $200 because i wanted a nicer daily and it was dirt cheap, I've sworn to keep it 16G, but I would love to build a 2.3 and TS HX35 setup and I believe it would keep the response with a lot better top end.
Back OT, do you think it will keep making power with more boost?
Have you looked into the HX35/40 hybrid?
I was under the impression that fwd dsm's were dynoed in 3rd since that is the closest to 1:1. I seen u did it in 4th. Which is the proper gear to be dynoed in for a fwd? I too have a hx35 getting dynoed this coming week.
