searched for a little bit before posting but here i go.

Just last night motor took a dump on me. Bought it about 3 weeks ago did everything as to " tune up " as we all do after we buy a car. One and only thing that i failed to do was check for compression and check the timing belt.

Driving last night i jumped timing, spun a bearing one of those many option we all dread to come across. Any who; I wanted to find out if anyone knew the compression difference if i were to buy a 6 bolt n/t and slap on all the turbo accessories to make the 6 bolt turbo.

Or if there are any other things I should be aware before doing any such things. i value everyone's opinion. being that some of us have come across these problems
 
They run 9:1 compression on weaker pistons. If you have full timing control you could make it work. Your ecu runs timing maps that are questionably to advanced for a 7.8:1 compression. The result will be lots of knock that will decimate the weaker n/t ringlands. If you use the n/t block use your turbo pistons.
