7 bolt to 6 bolt

I have a 92 Eagle Talon with a 7 bolt. I am talking to the guy who has my first Talon. I want to swap chassis'. Mine is a 5 spd and I want to go back to an auto. He is building a 6 bolt. What all would he need to put his 6 bolt motor in my 92 that had a 7 bolt in it?

Aside from the obvous engine and transmission. You're going to need the tcu and wiring harness, shifter, shifter cables, shifter linkage you might need the axels, that I'm not sure of. You'll need the trans cooler if its running one. Oh, and there's a cable that runs to the break pedal that only let's the car shift when the key is on and your foot is on the brake. This isn't necessary but your car could get nocked out of gear easily, if you're wanting to install that cable you'll need the brake pedal asembley too. If I can think of anything else I'll let you know..

If all your doing is swapping chassis then just take the motor and trans out....assuming they are both 1g cars and 91-94 just take those and switch there is no reason to rip everything off if you dont have to.

AND AS ALONG AS THEY ARE BOTH AWD OR FWD YOU DONT HAVE TO SWAP MOTOR MOUNTS SINCE THE FWD ARE TALLER I BELIEVE

But he is switching from a m/t to an auto, he will still need to take the parts off the automatic

No if he is putting a 6 bolt in the auto all he needs is the trans and the motor now if he was to want to change from a m/t to a auto in the 92 then he would only need the engine harness , tcu, ecu, wiring for tcu which i think is part of the harness or a plug in harness and thats it

If you had read his post it says he is going from a m/t to an auto.. As for the tcu, the harness is separate, well it was on my 91..

if you read he is asking because he want to swap chassis...not convert from manual to auto
