hey guys quick question, I searched but couldn't find anything that will help me out. I just got my head gasket and head studs in the mail today and when I sat the HG on the head just to make sure all was correct, the oil feed does not line up with the oil feed cutout on the head gasket. I'm running a cometic HG mls. Is this normal?

Make sure you have your dowel pins (both) in the head and fyi my cometic mls has worked fantastic and seals perfectly, with a cbn cut deck for the head and block
The dowel pins are in there. Should I reem it to gasket match or will it be fine the way it is? And also I had oil on the block just for storage purposes will that effect the HG seal?

Your head gasket should be installed like pictured below:

Have you have the block and head machined/resurfaced? The Cometic requires a finish of 50 RA if I am not mistaken. If you have not had both block and head machined, I would advice against using an mls gasket. Additionally, the gasket mating surface should be clean of oil and debris. Brake cleaner or acetone have worked well for me. You just don't want any residue left behind.

Definitely. Head and block machined to a mirror finish, and that's how mine looks when it is on the block but I just put the HG on the head to make sure everything was fine but than I seen how the oil feed in the head is smaller than the gasket. I'm not sure if I should gasket match the oil feed. I attached a picture of Wat it looks like on the head
