I had my block decked .005 and my head decked .021, what thickness headgasket should I get? And 86mm is the bore size if I'm bored out .020, correct?

.021 on the block? why??
Is this a stock 4g63 block?
have you measured the piston to deck clearance?

the stock 6 bolt/crank/rod/piston set up I have checked the pistons have been about .003-.005 in the hole.
if you had the block decked .021, I would be expecting to so see the pistion about .015 out of the hole..

but to get to stock specs ( given that a stock mitsu HG has a compressed thickness of .050) then you would want .050 + .021 +.005 = .076 thick

I want to say the cometic has 2 thicknesses... a 1.3mm and a 1.6mm ( correct me if I am wrong)
the 1.3 should be the OE/Stock thickness 1.3mm X .03937 =.0511
and the 1.6mm is a touch thicker.. 1.6mm X .03937= .06299

but neither is thick enough for you, you need a .072
so .072 x 25.4=1.8288 or a 1.8mm head gasket

you can get by with the 1.6mm and you will have a touch more compression

My mistake guys I meant .021 off the head, and .005 off the block.
