6bolt CAS on 7bolt motor

ok so my car in not running right it sounds like a boxer . it has good compression and no boost leak i have a 1g cas on my 7bolt maybe it could be adjusted i just dont know how to go about doing it. would i do it wiyh the car running or off? i dont no i need help

also the only lights that come on the dash are the little coolent one and the abs im going to pick up coolent temp sensors and see what that dose

Your 7-bolt motor uses two sensors to pick up engine misfires, the CPS (crank position sensor) and the CAS (cam angle sensor). To get your car to even start you need to rewire your CAS/CPS harness into the new 1g 6-bolt CAS.

I'm assuming that since your asking this question you didn't bother looking at the DSMTUNERS VFAQ TECH ARTICLES, more specifically Installing a 1g CAS in a '95 2g.

He did say that he had 1g CAS, i assume its already wired.

The fact that your car sounds like a boxer is because of the 1g cas. You have 2 choices here, either reinstall the sensors that your 2g comes with or get DSMlink.

The same thing used to happen in my car and my buddies after converting to 1G CAS, issue was fixed after going DSMlink or AEM in my friends case
