Check yourselves on the back and fourth, this isn't a pissing contest. This is the dyno talk forum so track times are irrelevant, some Tuners build their cars to be dyno queens and others use the dyno as a means to tune and only really care about the numbers that light up at the end of the track. Also, knocking people for spending money on "bolt-ons" is ridiculous. Making custom IM/exhaust manifolds/IC piping/etc. etc. etc. is great but the majority of us don't have the tools, money, or knowledge to design these parts. That doesn't mean the guys that buy bolt-ons don't have the same PASSION or love for these cars that you have, so don't rake them over the coals for buying quality bolt-on mods.

A 650whp/500tq DSM is impressive no matter what the setup, even with a big 'ole turbo you're doing something right if it's putting down that much power.

Weren't both these cars (boostdriven and dsmcurse) going up on the dyno? I was definitely looking forward to seeing both HX52 results since they're similar setups, just a different hotside. Maybe I just missed that thread?

Thank you sir for some sensible words. As for me ripping on KIDTSI, well he asked for it. I don't see anything wrong with buying bolt on parts, I didn't build my intake manifold so its a bolt on as well. But it bothers me a bit when a guy who probably don't build or tune his car starts talking shit. There is nothing wrong with not having proper tool or all the skill to build something but if you keep paying someone else to build or tune your car while improving their skill then you will never learn anything for yourself. I didn't start out knowing everything I know now, it took years of bloody knuckles and sleepless night to get where I'm at so I know how it is to be a noob. I can respect a guy who knows little but tries, one day he might know more then I do. Usually those guys don't talk shit because they understand what it take to build a car but a guy who knows nothing more then how to pull out a credit card out of his wallet is usually the one to talk shit.

I have a billet 52 with 16cm housing and I'm kinda curious to see how it'll perform on my 10.5:1 2.3L motor... There's also one thing I'm wondering if you'll do for me. Can you take a measurement from the valve cover and tell me how far out the compressor cover goes? I'd like to know if I can fit it in the GVR4 engine bay without having to run a half radiator.

Yes both turbos have factory billet wheels. I think that turbo will make some serious power on your engine set up, being a 2.3L with 10.5:1 compression it will spool faster then on my 2L so it should produce very good torque. When I get home today I'll get some measurements for you.

it will heavily depend on if your a cast mannifold or turbo header

You might want to look at getting a 5 gallons tank of methanol and mixing it with distill water for a 50/50 mix. I believe it is cheaper that way. I saw Heet at autozone and that bi*** goes for about 5 bux for a tiny bottle. Vp Methanol is 4 bux per gallon near me.

I buy HEET in a box of 4 from Walmart for about $5 dollars but I like your idea better. I will definitely look in to that, thanks for the advice

I definitely dig the fact that you can just go to wal mart to spruce up pump gas. I am working on a Civic right now for a friend from Anguilla. He has 87 pump gas, c16, and vp import over there. I want to make 500hp with 87/meth injection and 700hp with c16/meth injection. I want it to be on E85 but the ethanol they have over there are converted to Anguilla rum. I am using a Snow Performance Kit with their boost juice. Your boost is giving some confident to push a little harder with the tune.

I don't know of any true twin scroll t4 cast manifolds so it will be tubular for sure. The hks manifold is the best cast option in my opinion but you have to flip the turbo around towards the drivers side so the exhaust housing clears the rear wastegate pipe. I'm not opposed to doing that since I don't have anything in the way and it makes for a super short hot side pipe. I don't really want to run a twin scroll turbo without a true twin scroll manifold though. I just need a rough idea of how much room I'll need.

A warning about using windshield washer antifreeze, its very bad stuff, not very pure. A diesel forum I am on does oil testing, his bad levels went up suddenly and they warned him something was amiss, he'd just put on his alky setup and was running good old windshield washer fluid. Changed his oil and switched to his own brew of pure meth and distilled water, sampled the oil, good, so for shitts and giggles, swapped back to store bought and his bad levels skyrocketed.

e85 is not RACE FUEL, plenty of cars run it from the factory i have e85 pumps every 5-8 miles around me.

#1 it cost me less then your magic pump 93 before adding your meth injection.

#2 What everyone is talking about is the cocky snotty tude you have because you put a # on a MD with nothing to back it up and your cheerleader hanging off that sack.

#3 i drove my car to the track and went 9.5 on low boost and drove it back home not just a dyno, thats a PUMP GAS street car... I also stopped at the turnpike gas station to fill up on my PUMP E85, did i mention the track is 1hr each direction.

I still don't see the stupid... besides running 93 oct on a 4cyl , but calling it PUMP GAS cars on meth. If you wanna brag about building a true pump gas car start with a v8.

Simple answer: he will load a pump gas tune in and stay out of the 25 and u p psi range. Pretty easy,eh?

Here are some measurements you asked about. From the valve cover to my 2" radiator its almost 9" Compressor cover is about 1.25" from the radiator. There is almost 1" of clearance between the compressor cover and the water pipe because it sits slightly below the pipe. From the valve cover to the outside of the compressor cover is about 7.75" inches. Most of it will depend on the exhaust manifold you're going to use. If you're building something yourself then I'm sure you will get it fitted up no problem. I took few pictures, I'll try to post them up tomorrow so you can see how the turbo sits in there.

The things you can learn when you broaden your horizons thanks for that information my friend. I have never considered that stuff being harmful but it makes sense, who know what's in that mix. I'm definitely going to switch to pure meth with distilled water, sounds like a more logical option all on its own

Just spoke with my buddy who runs 100% meth injection in his vet, he said I can get it for $4 a gallon here at local place that sells race gas as well. I'm going to try different mix ratios and see which one I like best, I'm thinking a little richer on a meth side, maybe 65-75% meth and the rest distilled water. I might try and get on the rollers tomorrow to see if this new mix proves itself at the same boost level.

As far as the pump gas debate anything other than 87, 91, 92, 93 octane that enters the cylinder is not considered pump gas anymore. Try to go for a pump gas record and see how fast people will discredit your results once you state you have meth, E85 cant be considered "pump gas" Unless you want to call it 15% pump gas because alcohol is not gasoline.

Either way keep pushin guys! This turbo set up seems really nice!

I don't hold pump gas record and I don't care to. I don't know where some people got the idea that I was trying to prove something, I'm just sharing my results with the crowd. In my very first post I said "pump gas and a lot of water/meth" so I wasn't hiding anything. Of course had I not been spraying water/meth I would of had to run less boost which would have resulted in less power but nevertheless would have been results that I would share.

I didn't build my car to run at the track or be a high HP dyno queen, I build it for myself. I use the dyno simply for my own information to see what works and how well it works. I put something new on the car and it feels like its an improvement, I take it to the dyno to see how much of an improvement it was. My first time at the dyno car made 491 whp and since then I think I've been like 7 or 8 times gaining a little bit more HP each time. Maybe one day I'll hit that 700 HP club

Alantic Motorsports, in Gaithersburg, MD is real big on pump gas cars. One of there 2.0 evo's made 800Awhp+ on pump gas.

E85 isnt a gas at all, its a FUEL. Certain areas have a lot of E85 fuel pumps. You cant call e85 PUMP GAS because it ISNT GAS!

Kiggly is the fastest fwd 4g63 on GAS...he is running race GAS.

Dogboxracings evo went its fastest pass on methonal.

Methonal has a octane rating at 110 octane.

E85 fuel is 102-106 ish

The united states has more 87-92 octane pumps then E85 FUEL so 87-93/94 octane is PUMP GAS. When you inject a higher octane into a motor its no longer PUMP GAS. I do a lot of grudge racing, and IT IS HOW IT IS. If you cant drive your car to any place without needing a JUG of something "special to add to any tank then its RACE FUEL!

My automatic made 604 on straight 92 octane, and went 10.2@134 full weight. NO octane in anything higher then 92 octane.
