Ok I ordered MD189399 and MD300439 so I could adjust my HKS cam gears. When I got my order I recieved 2 MD189399 cam gears. Does anyone know what degree I need to set my adjustables at to get my timing correct?

Edit: Are my part numbers for the gears correct?

No I havn't. I was hoping I could just use the intake gear to get the degree right on my hks gears. Im getting 14 degrees retard when I line the marks up. Is this what I should be getting? I know someone has to be running adjustable gears with a 2.4 block and 2.0 head. Thanks for your help.

Just to clarify, I did a bit more research into the part numbers. On an E56A (93-99) galant 2.4L DOHC:

MD300439 is the intake cam gear and
MD189399 is the exhaust cam gear. If you have two of one, it won't work.

Hope this helps someone, as I think it is irrelevant to the problem.

So I will need both gears to be able to set my hks gears to the right degree?
Or can someone chime in with what they set there adjustable gears at?

I cant be the only one running adjustables on a 64 block 63 head. I must be missing something as to why someone with the same setup cant say hey im running so many degrees advanced or retard on thier gears. Am I incorrect on this? Im kinda a newb to strokers. Thanks for the help.

Here is someone who has a g4cs and degreed their FP3 cams per the spec sheet.

Not everyone's adjustable cam gears will be set the same since people run different cams.

Please do not bump your thread. If people have info, they will probably try and help. If not, start doing some research on your own.
