I am in the process of swapping a 6 bolt block into my 2G retaining the 2G head. I have looked for definitive answers but see conflicting info. Is a 1G oil pick up needed for this swap or will the 2G oil pick up work?

Some lists I see have the 1G listed and others do not.;)
 
Everything on the engine block, except the modified 2g mount, are 6-bolt parts. Front case, oil pickup, oil filter housing, timing set, flywheel, all are 6-bolt parts.
