It looks like the 1g is going to be sold this weekend, so next week it's on (I've got until the 20th to have the 2g running). If this is going to be possible I'll need a complete list of parts put together so I can have everything I need to get started.

The 6bolt I have is complete, and all the 2g's accessories (starter, p/s pump, alt, etc) are still attached to the car.

Obviously, this has all got to happen fast. As far as I can tell, this is a list of what I need, please let me know if I'm forgetting anything (And if you've got any of it please let me know what you're asking):

Parts needed for the swap:
-2g drivers side/engine side motor mount
-2G Starter Mounting bracket
-2G A/C and other belts
-2G sensors - oil, water temp, etc
-2G fuel rail
-2G MAP sensor

Non Swap related parts needed:
-engine hoist (cherry picker)
-tensioner tool
-turbo (14b or bigger)
-2g AWD manual transmission
-2g AWD exhaust (stock or aftermarket)
-6bolt clutch and flywheel (stock or aftermarket)
-balance shaft eliminator kit
-6 bolt timing kit
-radiator fans
-misc nuts and bolts
-various gaskets, etc.
-anti-sieze and threadlocker
-battery

Thanks,
Dan

You pretty much have everything covered. I checked it with my list since i am halfway through the swap and you have everything i have on my list. Good Luck

Thanks, and good luck finishing yours also. I've done a 6 bolt replacement in a 1g, but I've actually never touched a 2g. Seems pretty straighforward, but let me know if you run into anything unexpected. When do you plan on having it finished?

Great list, I may be needing this soon. Good luck with the swap, should go well, if not find some local DSMers! :thumb:

Hopefully someone has a few of these parts so I can shorten the list ;)

Thanks for the feedback. I made the list using the tech pages on this site, and the magnus motorsports site.

There are a few other parts you might need, but my 6 bolt is complete so I'm good.

I know the magnus site isn't working, but I used the wayback machine (www.waybackmachine.org)...

Good luck man! I just finished mine a few months ago and I know what type of blood, sweat and tears you're about to endure. :)

FYI: When you order the scatter shield, which is a very good idea, you need to order the 2G 7 bolt model. The head dictates the fit not the short block.
