I'm getting ready to purchase my main bearings for my 6-bolt build and I don't know what to get, full groove or half, tri-metal or regular? It's gonna be my dd but future goals are 350-400hp.

I've done a ton of searching and there is not a lot on full groove or half groove. Thanks in advance!

For lightly loaded engines Aluminum bearings are better because they conform better to irregularities in the crankshaft or metal particles in the oil. And they cost less.
In heavily loaded engines (like my stroker 4G63) tri-metal bearings are better because they will withstand higher loads. And they are worth the higher price.

Thank you for the info but what about the full groove / half groove thing for the mains? I'm thinking that I should just go with what came out.

The half groove/full groove is so pressurized oil will fill the groove and oil the main better, where a stock non groove bearing only receives the pressurized oil from the oil hole and the spinning crank spreads it around.
