1G 6 bolt front case wear

Hey, assembling 6 bolt motor, I have a
used oem front case und strait cut gears. Gears look to be in good shape, just a little concerned about wear marks in front case from gears. I can catch my fingernail on it. Any thoughts ?

It is extremely hard to tell from a picture. The bottom looks like it has a pretty deep groove on the left but that could just be the lighting.

Does your car have a balance shaft delete? If so take a picture of the stub shaft. There's a bunch of junk stub shafts that have been sold out there which will ruin your oil pump because they don't have the correct oil groove. Might be what happened here.

That is normal wear, nothing to be concerned about.

You can catch your finger nail on the wear marks, motor had balance shafts still installed.
