550's? Why not 950's?

Ok, so i've been looking at injectors and fpr. My question is why don't people buy 950cc injectors and then set their fuel pressure reg. low? I see people buy 550's then want to upgrade in a few years. Why not just buy them HUGE in the first place?
Is there any objection with this idea?

There are lots of factors that wont be good to get overkill injectors if you dont need them.
One major thing is tune-ability. With something as large as 950 or so the dead time is going to be way longer and it will be alot harder to tune. You would need dsmlink to tune anything that high anyways since it can compensate for dead time.

Mainly tunability, like said above. You can get away with having an eprom programmed for a certain sized injectors, though, and then your deadtimes for those particular injectors will be correct. If you don't plan on ever using huge injectors though, theres no reason to get them...

It all depends on your upgrades and how far your willing to go with your upgrades.If your trying to keep it simple a little more easy to tune ofcourse you want something smaller than 750cc INJ.Its all about how much money you want to spend on your car.
