Need some help again. Damn Talon. My timing recently was off by a lot. No valve issues that I know of. Anyways, there was a slight ticking noise coming from the drivers side of the engine. Near #1 cylinder. Some of the bolts that were holding down the bolts were loose. Me being an idiot decided to loosen all the cam bolts and to retorque to specs. Three striped valve cover bolts and a cracked valve cover later, the lifters are still ticking. I did read the vfaq about using a flat head screwdriver to reseat the lifters, but am uncomfortable doing it unsupervised. I've never done it before. I'm not following you here, some bolts holding down the bolts were loose? Cam cap bolts shouldn't be touched until you relieve the tension off the timing belt. I'm not sure if thats why you were referring to yourself as an idiot but if thats why then yes, I do agree. :D

Theres a tool you can get off ebay to pop off your rockers without removing your cams, Brian (snowborder714) has a good Tech Article on it.

Sorry about that. Some of the bolts that hold down the camshafts were loose.
