I'll search for the answer with my own means. Unless if someone knows of a difference between a turbo and a non-turbo radiator thickness?

A ruler in the picture might help with figuring out the size. It "looks" to be the same size as my 2G radiator, but I'm not 100% sure.

As for cooling problems, I would suggest a few things. A 180 degree thermostat is a start along with some sort of water wetter additive. A reverse mounted scoop over the exhaust manifold area ( on the hood ) helps to increase airflow through the radiator and engine bay. Aluminum radiators are also nice, but cost a few hundred. Maybe some slimline fans would help. Most vendors sell them at around 90$ a pop. Good luck,

T-stat is actually not in place at all. Coolant always flows through the rad.

Slimline fans can be purchase where?

This is my rad. What size if yours? Ummm... shut up about the ### ruler. It's all I could find.

Alright. I don't mean to be a jerk-off, but will someone with a 1G turbo car please go out and measure. Take 3 minutes out of your life and make a brother happy. I need to know urgently.

ya i measured my rad as well tim
its juss under 2 inches thick

The end tanks or the actual core is just under 2"s? Why are you so mad?

I checked my buddies TSi rad. It isn't stock but it measured 3cm's across or 1.25" approx.

Time for a turbo rad... something to add to the turbo conversion that no one noticed before. I guess most turbo conversion guys aren't running a huge FMIC.

Anyone else confirm? I measured his rad while it was on the car and the numbers were really sketchy.
