My grandmother and grandfather both have honda's! They love them! I think you should just stick with those. Obvioulsy you know a lot about them. Good luck!
 
long run my ass, the way i drive my car's a dsm would never hold up, i wouldnt want it for the long run, becuase id keep it until i finish rebuilding my b18a1 ls\vtec civic

im willing to take on any of your awd 4g63t cars with it, only mods ill have on my 200hp civic is cold air, exhuast, plugs, wires, and tuning....so it will probably be around 215-230hp, lets not forget if i decide to rebuild with rods, cams, pistons, and oil squirter kit, oh yeah, instead of cold air, maybe some itbs.

wed be lookin at about 400hp all motor (with itb's)

not a bad way to spend 3k

hell ill even put money on it.

yeah :rolleyes: better invest on a huge wing for the hood you gonna need the traction.
 
Honda Civics are reliable and slow stock. Always have been. If you want a Honda, why go with a DSM? I've owned 3 Honda Civics so far but, I don't bash other cars that may not have the exact reliability record. You asked for opinions, you got opinions. Don't get mad. Also, I've never seen any 6 or 7 second Honda's. Every car has it's positives and negatives. The more you mod a car, the less reliable it gets, regardless of make. I've seen plenty of blown Honda engines.
 
its called ballist and lsd

shave the weight in the back, and move it up front.
gives you better traction, plus leaves you with less under steer

add a LSD, your pretty well off.

and #### wings, id never put a wing or body kit or any shit on my car ever!!

im not some dumb Beaner who thinks decals, and wal mart chrome hub caps add horsepower. the ef is probably the better of the civics because its very stiff and light weight.

the only thing id do to the body is keep it clean.

and fix any damage or rust.


ive seen 6 and 7 second honda's all the time, watch the speed channel, read some magazines, youll see them

but im not aiming for anything faster then 13s im making a street car, that i can still drive to work.
 
Hondas are extremely reliable, I can vouch, but judas sounds like some punk sixteen year old who's parents got him a galant for his first car, and he's watched fast and the furious way too much and never misses a release of import tuner.:D:D:D
 
My friends always tell me to get an EG hatch so I can get into the honda game... but I like to have good 1/4 mile times... ROFL

Calm down a bit. If you are talking 8 valve head it might be a bit week but if you could come up with a way to put the SOHC 16V head on it or get a HYUNDAY 2.4 with the 8V head it just might be somthing:thumb:

Find a Hyunday engine over the stock 4G37 thats .6 L more:aha: then I think you would have a tourque monster for on the CHEEP

So in my book bolt it in and see what happens. What do you have to loose another 4G37 to the graveyard it it does not work?
