4g63 na ecu

So ive recently purchased a automatic 92 talon 4g63 n/a but the ecu went bad, and i was wondering what other ecu's are compatible with this car? Since i cant find any 4g63 n/a in any of the junk yards around my area.

ecu numbers are (MD153354), (E2T35372E).

Sounds like someone swapped the cover on that ECU in the past. A MD153354 is for a 6 cyl SOHC 6G72.

A 92 NA Federal 2.0L would have had a MD166255 (E2T36572) ECU in it and that's what you are looking for. If it's a 1.8L it would be a MD159561. California cars used different ECUs. http://simon.chi.il.us/ECU/ECUID.html

Since it ran before I expect there is a 4 cyl ECU inside the case. Open it and see what is printed on the white ECU connector. The 4 digits match the last 4 of the E2T number for the original part.

i just opened the case and the numbers imprinted on the ECU connector are 6572, so youre right the previous owner messed with the casing. thanks for the correct numbers.

Check ebay or look around on other forums in the classifieds, since you know what your looking for.

And from what I understand, you would have to look deeper into it, a manual will work in an automatic, but a automatic won't work in a manual. mine wouldn't stay running
