So no unless your atmosphere feeds your car nitrous. Personally on any 4 cylinder car Turbo should be the only way to go if you're looking for power, unless you really build to specifically handle nitrous, like those nutcases at holeshot performance.

i have a N/T 4g63 with some work done to it and its not bad at all. i mean its not fast but its quick. my car beats 90% of the honduhs in my town LOL. im shooting for the fastest N/T 1/4 time. And yes the weight reduction makes a huge differance. i took so much stuff out of my car. the way i could tell is before i guted my car my friends prelude beat me. now i take him my like 3 car leanths. Im stayin with the N/T.

the only honda i can say that would give you a run on an N/A build 4g63 would be their 2.2L H22's in a civic for weight reduction. in this case the old "theres no replacement for displacement" comes into effect

I'm thinking about building up my NT. But it is a lot of money to get low HP gains and a lot of custom parts. I like the throttle/engine response of the NT. I'm looking for a 4g64 bottom end.

The downside of a high compression engine is its short lifespan. I heard 13:1 and up don't really last long.

Not true unless the engine is knocking... which is highly likely with 13:1. Knock will severely shorten the lifespan of any engine.

N/t is fun... but I'm not fond of Japanese n/t power. Yeah yeah I know Honduhs are great and all, but I'm sick and tired of looking at them, and 95% of them are "torqueless wonders". German cars are more fun to play with when it comes to n/t.

If you've got at least a $1000 to drop on the n/t, then I'd say it's worth it... but if you look carefully, you can buy a turbo eclipse for that price. Thinking about what would be involved, I don't think you'd need any custom parts unless you're shooting towards 200bhp, but with a DSM you're wondering into a realm that doesn't have a clear path.

You can set up your 4G63 N/A but for sure the Hondas with a B series engine with a good tune/set up will eat you alive. Guaranteed! You can set it up, just a lot of money involved. You can get custom grinds for your cams and have your pistons customized also. Good luck with your project.
