4g63 crankshaft

yes i did search, nothing helpful came up.

1996 talon awd turbo.

The crank walked. everything such as the main cap and main journals look fine, im going to make sure when i get time.

My question is, is that will any 4g63 crank drop right into place and work fine? its a 7 bolt crank, so could i use a 6 bolt if i found one? what exactly is the difference in a 6 bolt or 7 bolt?

Im fairly new to dsms, just left the honda world a year or so ago.

No you can not put a 6 bolt crank in a 7 bolt block.

The std shaft specs may be the same for both the 6 and 7 bolts, but the 7 bolt has different length bearing faces.

You will need a 7 bolt, any year 7 bolt will work

thank you. a buddy of mine said i could but he wasnt sure. thus, i decided to turn to this website. ive basically got to build this car from the ground up.

another question. where would be a good place to get a crank? ive checked the market place and i dont exactly trust ebay on a purchase like this.
