well let me introduce myself my name is joey im new to this site but not new to dsm,s:D
i have a :dsm:99 eclipse gst and did a jdm cyclone 6 bolt swap about 2 years ago and now i spun a bearing. so now im looking for more power, i want to build a 2.3 stroker motor out of my 4g63t. im not totally unaware of what needs to be done in order to make the 2.3 conversion ,im currently ordering 881 wiseco stroker pistons and eagle h beam rods and either a 6 bolt 4g64 crank shaft or 4gcs crank. and i also know about alittle machining will have to be done to the block #3 rod cap has clearence issues with the block and man caps as well and 2 spots on the oil pan.

but after thats all good and done there,s somthing about using the 4g64 cams and timing belt and the teeth alignment issue. ? i really dont want to mess this up over a timing issue, can anyone clear this up for me?

I don't personally know mush about it, but I noticed you weren't getting much help. Here's a link that might not help too much but could give you some ideas. And I'll keep looking for better info...

edit - more stuff
This guy was looking for a tech article on building a 2.3 stroker. Post 12 has some links - http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/stroker-tech/253552-stroker-article.html

edit 2 - another thread talking about the 2.3 - http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/turbo-system-tech/189645-2-3l-motor-evo-16g.html
RDRKT (last post) was running stock cams on a 2.3 at that time and it was running (so its not causing any damage to do it) but apparently you could see that the stocks were holding the motor back in the higher rpms on a dyno.

From what I see, the only thing to consider is cams that will let it breathe good enough, but nothing really about stock cams causing an issue, just less power. Where did you find something about using 4g64 cams and the timing belt/teeth alignment issue? Just curious...

hmm, how much hp gain would you get from adding 272 to a 6 bolt? 2.0 not stroker?
