I've had my non-turbo talon for about 2 years now. I've modded the little things but I want more. I'm now taking auto classes and we can work on our own cars. I thought about turboing my car. I want to take the turbo from a turbo eclipse or talon and put them on my car. We have all the tools and know how to get this project done. I know pretty much all the parts I need. I was wondering if you guys could help me out to make sure I didnt miss anything or if you have any suggestions. Thanks, by the way I will only run 5 psi no more i just want a little more get up and go.

i don't think anyone is going to sit here and type out a whole list of things you need to do. if your wondering if you missed something you can type up a list for people to look at and they will be more than happy to help you out. also if you search there is alot of info to be had about this. i also suggest taking a look at www.2gnt.com they have more than enough help and support with this. they are a site dedicated to the second generation non-turbo. good luck.

Well I know pretty much everything but will i need to upgrade my injectors and swap my computer out if i just run 5 psi. I was just planning to take all the turbo parts from another engine.

the stock injectors and ecu well be fine. as far as parts. goes you well need.
turbo
turbo manifold for the 420A
external waste gate. (you well need this because if you run the tdo5 with the stock internal waste gate you well hit stock gst boost which is around 10-12 psi. i don't think you can make it hit less.)
oil lines to the turbo with t fittings and adaptors (the line well come from the oil pressure switch on the block under the air intake. on the left side if laying on your back looking up.)
oil return line to the oil pan.
oil return line fitting (piece of pipe) welded to oil pan.
blow off valve.
missing link for your map sensor.
colder spark plugs.
charge pipes. from turbo to air intake. or fmic.
boost gauge.
air/fuel gauge
fuel pump 255lph
fuel management unit.
fuel return line to your gas tank. if its a 96(from your fmu)
fuel pressure gauge on the fmu i run 60 psi at idle and 2 psi increase per psi of boost.
you also may need a bolt to block off the fuel regulater by the gas tank. this is on 96 and up cars. on my 95 eclipse it has a stock returnable system. so you don't need do this.
if you have a 95 with returnable then you can use the stock returnable lines. but its easier just to run a steel bradded line back to the tank. if you have the non returnable system you well have to have the line run back to the tank. and on both models you well need a fuel line to run to the nibble on the right end of the fuel rail for 95.if you standing facing the engine. or on the 96 the line well go to the fuel psi check nossle. on the left side. of the fuel rail.(make sure to remove the the niddle inside the psi check hook up. remove it with a tire valve stem puller.)
hope this helps you out. if any other ?s pm me and give a bro some feed back got a - from a guy because i was defending my 420aT :dsm:

Basically everything you said was right. Although, he doesn't need an external wastegate, he can mod his like Chris did(shown in write up) he only ran 4 psi with that mod. Missing link may not be needed, the year of the car was never specified. :thumb:

thanks for the clearifcation on the stock wastegate i didn't know if you could adjust it down.
but its nice to have a vented external wastegate. when it opens up you know i'm hauling. not to mention its high illegal but i live in ky you can get away with open headers. LOL :dsm:
