what kinda rebuild are you gonna do? stock? hi compression? turbo?

Everything seems to be in order and ready to be put back in

You need to re-do your timing belt or you'LL need a rebuild before it makes it out of your driveway. You need a timing cover too. It may make it a little while without one but not for long. you could use a new timing belt too.
The #1 killer of 420a motors is the timing belt or related component fails resulting in bent valves or worse

We haven't timed it yet we just put everything back together and it ran fine with out a timing cover, so hopefully it'll run fine again

"ready to be put back in" , shouldnt be combined with pics, of a motor that is NOT ready to be put back in. Its misleading.

Sure the engine will run good without the timing cover but if you drive it around like that it probably wont be for long.
But thats in theory, i have never tested it on an actual car. So if you dont mind driving around denver all winter without a timing cover , you should see how long you can make it.

You're absolutely right... but I mean I got it with out the timing cover and it lasted me over 2 years, maybe I was just lucky I guess
