Hey i will cut strait to the chase. I just noticed today that the fuel rail in my 1995 Eagle Talon ESI was leaking where the fuel pressure regulator is located :ohdamn:. Now the kicker is evidently in 95 the fuel rail in the 95 420a's is the full assembly which has the regulator attached to the butt end of the rail. Or can it be removed and can anyone back this up? I called maybe 5 different auto parts stores and none have any listing for replacement fuel rails!
So where can i find a replacement?!

Please any input would be very much appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

I know where there is one at a junkyard if needed. Check out 2gnt.com and see if there is any one parting out a 420a.

Now do you guy know by any chance if it is all one assembly? Or can the fuel pressure regulator be removed?

Thanks for the quick responses!
Ok just an update i looking in my Haynes guide and they say for the 1995 ESI 420a it is all one unit also some sites online say that also. BUT according to the several parts shops i called and Rock Auto the Pressure regulator valve on the 95 420a is installed in the side of the rail. Everything is being contradicted!
It is leaking by and or at the regulator valve but i don't want to start pulling on it when it is supposed to be one unit and bust it and then the car is not drivable and make the leak worse.
Anyway any input would be appreciated!
Thanks

If the regulator has two bolt mounts on it to attach it to the rail, it's obviously that it's a removable item then .... and replacable..

You need to holler at a Mitsu dealership service dept on this issue to get close to your answer.

Good luck - DSM

The FPR on an ESi doesn't show any bolts holding it in on one of my diagrams. It shows an external retaining ring that holds the regulator in to the rail, and here's a thread that confirms that: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/420a-bolt-tech/346970-95-fuel-pressure-regulator-question.html

Anyhow, the fuel rail part number is 04669377 for a '95 and 04669381 for '96-'99. The fuel pressure regulator is part number 04669055 for a '95 and 04883076 for '96-'99. At a Mitsubishi dealership, these may be prefaced with the letter "M"; at a Chrysler dealership, you should need only the numbers. To be thorough, the retaining ring is part number 06034751 for all model years and the regulator o-ring(s) -- comes as a kit with what looks like 4 o-rings but are not injector seals -- is part number 04762077.

Thank you so much!!! After really looking at it today there is a snap ring holding it in place. It's so bad you can rotate the fpr and move it about.
I will replace it this weekend and hopefully that will fix my gas leak problem.
We all know gas plus a hot engine= not a good ending.
Anyway thanks again!

I found a FPR for a 95 Avenger, this is positively going to fit on my 95 Talon Esi? We just rebuilt and installed a new engine into the car, and on the first turnover the FPR blew out and sprayed gas everywhere and the car instantly shut down. I think the rings dryrotted from sitting for an extended period of time in the dry shed.. and honestly I would hate to pay 90$ for a non-swapable part..
