Before I break something else... I have my block hooked up to my cherry picker and there is about an inch gap between the block and transmission but it won't come off.

Is there something I need to pry off or unclip? I don't want to yank on it until i damage something.

I removed all the bolts that hold the block to the transmission.. and the block is pretty much bare with nothing left on it. Can't seem to slide the block off the transmission

and no i havn't touched any flywheel bolts. let me run outside and take pics and look

You need to unbolt the flexplate from the torque converter! You might have damaged them already if its hanging from them. Possibly the trans too.

Nevermind.. I'm an idiot..

There was a 1/2" little bolt at the very bottom center holding on this little sheet of metal. Took that off and she slid right out.

Write up of removal? Ease of removal? I'm in the market for a 400 GS thats an AT I might be taking the motor out for a full rebuild into my 98 GS which is MT any thoughts?
