Subtract everything from the engine list if your motor is healthy... Stock motor can make that...I would prefer a 6bolt with some ARP's But maybe add some Gs2's Cams with some Evo valve springs...

Also I'd Go with larger injectors for more headroom an the ability to run E85 down the road since you can Flash your ECU more then likely...

Tranny will hold 350hp
I'd grab a set of 1g big rods.
Your pistons are fine.
Go from Brian crower 272's to comp 101200's.. That'll be great.
You're ordering a balance shaft removal kit and balance shaft bearings?
You don't need a 50mm tial BOV... Try a crushed 1g BOV.
You can cheapen suspension a hell of a lot also... Like simply throw on some prokit springs and there will be a big difference...
You will however need some EMS... Link v3 lite will suite you just fine or even SAFC II.. You'lll need a wideband set up... And boost/oil pressure gauges..

I am not going to tell you not to re seal you engine and tranny/transfer and rear end though.. f you want to then do it.
Did I save your budget?

if your doing all that to your motor.... you might as well do a 6 bolt swap and put it all in there.. less chance of Crank walk.. thats what im doin... my budget for my build was 5000 and after labor of machining the 6 bolt (1,200) and labor to install the motor ($500 Good deal) im gonna be into the car 11.5 Grand including the cost of the car (3,900) if you want me to send you my Build list im going for mid 400's to the wheels... also you can look at my profile list, its not as complete but will save you money compared to the list you have...

Crankwalk..Crankwalk..Crankwalk... Crankwalk can happen to anybody, and is actually pretty rare. Don't over think things.

You dont need Brian Crower cams, valves, cam gears ect..
You don't need Wiseco HD's..
You don't need eagle rods..
You don't need a built tranny
You don't need all that suspension stuff just yet..

For 350hp you can either freshen up your existing block, or build a block with 1g rods and 2G pistons. You can freshen up your head with a stock rebuild or some single springs if you want, but there is nothing more needed internally to make that power level besides a good set of ARP headstuds and rod bolts. You can throw your mains in there while your at it. There are tons and tons and tons of people making way more on stock 6 and 7 bolts. Most having a huge amount of miles. These motors are pretty stout and a good refreshening will go a long way. Do your maintenance.

Get a good set of HKS, Kelford, GSC, of FP cams.. and throw them in your stock or rebuilt head with some single coil aftermarket valvesprings. Some of the bigger 272's need them, but most dont. Aftermarket valvesprings is a fairly low cost failsafe. Valvefloat is no good. Get yourself some bigger injectors, ARP's, ECMlink, Walboro 255 rewired, Wideband 02, Boost gauge ect..and run 11's on E85 on the E316G. You may want to look into the 20G or a HX-35 as well. They will get you to your goal easier.

As for suspension, get a ES bushing kit and make sure your maitenance is up to par. Save money.

Engine (Modifications):

MHI EVO3 16G Turbocharger.......Good
Evo 3 Exhaust Manifold..... dont need this
Evo 3 O2 Housing............. dont need this
4 Layer Exhaust Manifold Gasket (DSM/EVO 8/9) get a felpro perma-torque Head gasket
7CM TURBO GSKT...... yes
Evo 3 O2 Housing Gasket.....yes
HAL ES Hallman ES Kit 1..... is this a boost controller?
TIA QR 50mm BOV-Recirc you dont need recirc if your running DSMLink (1g bov will do fine too)
VRSF FMIC Kit........
Road Race Engineers EVOIII Downpipe (Short)....... go with megan
Road Race Engineers High Flow Cat............... go with megan down pipe with cat delete
APEX'i WSII Cat-back Exhaust.... this is hella expensive..
Walbro 255LPH .... yes
Fuel pressure regulator (not sure of brand yet).... you dont NEED this
FIC 650cc Injectors .......get 880's

To arrive at 350whp:

Dang I think that's over kill. All you need is a big16g or bigger, injectors, good tune, good supension, maybe cams and your set.
But that will all be on a good motor I presume.

OMG

WOOOOOW.

With that 8K, I could get close to 800hp.

If your motor is on....
Just do a complete Maintenance and install the MODS., (TURBO ETC).

Check how much Power you are making, and If the Engine steal has some Juice,,,, It hill hold for a long time....... Time for you to do a rebuild on a side, so when your engine start to get tired, (YOU ALL READY HAVE THE BIG TIGER WAITING TO GET IN ACTION).:rocks::rocks:

I would go stock engine except arps.

1250 injectors for e85

Dsm link

Cams

Port 2g mani to 7cm

255hp rewired

Aeromotive fpr

-6 feed line

EBay fmic kit

People are you forgetting most 98-99 ECUS are flashable like I said above. ... More then likely since the OP has a 99 they are NOT going to need Ecmlink...

wait you dont need dsmlink if your ecu is flashable?? wouldent you still want DSMLink to cancel out CEL's, set 2 step launch, and be able to tune your own AFR? not to mention knowing EVERYTHING that goes on with your car live..... get dsmlink.... thats next on my list already got 95 EPROM

A 98/99 using EvoScan/EcuFlash can:
-"Cancel CEL's"? Yes, by deactivating the individual routines used by the ecu to check each thing.
-2 step? It has the 2 step rev, then you can add ignition retard and increase fueling on top of that if you want.
-Tune your own AFR? Yep. And you can download a modded version of the Ecu's ROM that includes larger fuel and timing maps than stock. You can change more fuel and timing parameters than you could imagine.
-Live monitoring of all the stuff. Yes. Not as fast as ECMLink, but 180 samples/second is pretty good. Plenty for a 350whp car.

Download Ecuflash (for free) and download a copy of the 2gb ROM from the 98/99 ecu flashing thread. Then you can see if that's what you'd like.

I run a 98 and I am still going to use dsmlink. It has been around for awhile and the customer support is second to none.

Go with fp e316g and race manifold ( currently on sale with fp 255 lph fp = $799 shipped)
FP Rewire
stm fuel setup with afpr, filter from tank and return. FIC injectors ( do not get a rail, not need)
wideband and boost gauge
Exhaust, turbo back preferred or hi flow cat setup
E3 o2 housing
FMIC, cheap one with pipes ( SS Autochrome)
Lowering Springs. ( I got tokico illumina 5 way with eibach prokit for $100)

DSMlink.

Wow my head is still spinning :barf:

Okay thanks everyone.

Just some additionals, The car has 108,000 on it, the end bearing in the trans went, and I have to replace the end cover, the end nut, and 5th gear so I figured I rebuild the trans.

I am running this on pump 93 and I am rebuilding the engine and trans to get another 15 years out of it.

I am not switching to a 6-bolt (I know I may get some hate mail from that :D)

I am going to see how the internals are when I pull the engine; if the crank, cams, and pistons are A+, then I can save on them.

I also plan on getting the block hot tanked, head cleaned, and the EVOIII parts ported.

Are larger injectors really needed?

Some parts I left off:

Probably going with a Dejon Intake
Ecuflash through the cable
Wideband
Fuel/Oil gauges
ACT 2600 Clutch with Lightweight Flywheel
SS Oil lines
New brake rotors, calipers, and pads
New wheels and tires

My local votech is also doing all the body work (under my supervision) and I am switching the color from the lovely emerald green to a custom darker gunmetal (actually a customized BMW color), and adding Dynaspray to use as an undercoat inside the car to reduce road noise and insulate the sound system. Over all material cost for all this will be ~$700.

Let me know!!!
