So I took my car to get a dyno done to see where I would be sitting at with the mods that are on the car. I was shocked to what the car made. With a 2g exhaust manifold, Hallman boost controller, vrsf fmic, and a dejon intake pipe with k
&n filter I made 265whp and 268wtq @ 9.1 psi. We turned the boost up some to 13.6 psi, but I ended up hitting fuel cut in the middle of the run so we turned it down to 13.1 which was when the car made 326whp and 312wtq. I am not to sure if anything has been done to the car internally, I checked the turbo its still the stock 14b. A few weeks go by and I'm doing a tune up on the car via spark plugs,wires,and valve cover gasket and me and my friend take the valve cover off and spotless. Like I mean this head looks like its only been on the car for a short period of time. I was talking to my brother who I bought the car from which he bought it from his friend and where trying to figure out if the car has different pistons, ported head, or something done that's not going to be visible unless we take the motor apart. Any ideas what would cause the car to make those kind of numbers and why I would be hitting fuel cut at only 13.6 psi? Thanks for any input.
 
Oh ok cause when I was looking at the picture on page 2 that Land Speed sent me then looking at mine when taking the pictures my wheel looks like the blades aren't so close together like the one in the picture.

You have a stock 14B. In all likelihood, your 3-4psi boost over stock is just enough to cancel out the altitude.

I would put money on your car actually being right around what a stock 1G FWD would make on an honest dyno.
 
I just bought a 2g maf and I'm not to sure what intake pipe to go with. From what I have read and been told the fp intake wont work cause of how long it is and that the filter wont fit with it all together.

Is it the stock 2g maf,as well as stock 2g intake tube you cannot get to fit.Is it the filter,not fitting? Or is it the bov tube..Your other thread raised these questions for me.

My 2g maf filter combo is tight at the filter.I have to squeeze the adapter part into the filter.In order for it to fit snug.Thats a k&n 3 inch filter btw.
 
That sheet it also Corrected Numbers... What was it Uncorrected again? about 275 Hp 265tq?

Like I said when you emailed me a bit back Should have Found a Shop with a DynoJet... Now you are going to go from a Mustang dyno to a Dynapack...

If you are trying to make any comparison at all. You need to either stay with the same dyno or Get Uncorrected Numbers from a Dynojet. In the end doesn't matter it's all just a tool.

What counts is when you cross the Finish line :)

The stock 2g maf with stock intake pipe is hitting the flange/bov on the vrsf fmic thats on the car. I dont have a filter yet just checking to see if I would have some fitment issues with it. I believe that the pipe with the flange on it is turned around and I need to put the flange up towards the elbow.

In regards to the uncorrected they were 276whp and 264wtq.... I will be going off of the base line when I move to az and go from there for what I'm making hp and tq wise. When I have the graph of what I make on the dyno I will definitely post it up.

I am an AWD swap spyder, with 880s,Wally 190 fuel pump,full greddy fmic and hard pipes, 18g pushing 18psi on a stock block besides apr headstuds And I made 327awhp and 307awtq. I was running out of pump with 0 to 1 counts of knock through the range so it is a solid tune. I am down in Colorado spings at 6035 feet altitude and dynoed at under pressure on a mustang. I also did a dyno pull on a dyno jet last week down in publeo and ran 324awhp and 305 awtq. I know there is lots of variables with tempature and all, but I think that shop had to have put vaules in wrong or something.

Yeah I'm starting to think its been more so the dyno than anything else
 
I would honestly be more concerned about the fuel cut than anything at this point. That should probably be sorted before you even worry about strapping down to another dyno.

I installed a boost gauge and currently sitting at 13psi, have a catback on the car and will be getting a downpipe and o2 housing soon. As soon as i get the car dynod ill post the reults up.
 
Look, even if it had the slight CR bump from the NA 6-Bolt, it would not even remotely come close. We are talking about an increase in thermal efficiency of less than 3% in going from 7.8:1 to 9.0:1

At sea-level on 13psi and pump gas at 0*F and 0% humidity, the 14B compressor wheel is just not capable of moving the amount of air required to make the torque needed to produce that power on a stock head/cam/displacement 4G63.

His town is listed as ~5000ft actual altitude, to hit the same target boost it will have to run at a much higher shaft speed/PR than at sea level. This puts him in regions of the map that are far less efficient and pushes him off the map sooner as engine demand increases with rpm.

It's not about high comp or low comp. None of what you've posted even deals with the real limiting factors in this equation.

Please refrain from posting "technical help" when it is very obvious you are just making things up based on things you've read on the internet.

Long time ago, I made 249whp/258wtq @ 15psi on a DynoJet with pump 93 in a 5MT 1G FWD, down here less than a 1000ft above sea level.

The only conditions I saw enough airflow to make >300whp at my altitude was in the winter at night, with temps in the single digits and 24-25psi boost.

That was with a 3" open downpipe, a dumped O2 housing, ported/blended head and a ported 2G exhaust manifold.

Again, less than 1000ft above sea level. No amount of "built" longblock is going to make up for this.

Have fun with that boost creep! I suggest having that 16g ported to high hell and back.
 
What are you using to tune with? You're making some pretty big changes, especially with a b16g on what appears to be stock injectors, pump, and regulator.. and a 2g maf to boot. Essentially, everything to make an engine pop without a way to alter fuel delivery to match the air, as well as ignition timing.
 
Well i just took the boost controller out and sitting at 10psi. Dont have anything yet but im saving up to buy link so i can tune the car. Havent had any boost creep when i took the boost controller out. It was acting up so decided just to reroute it back to the jpipe from the wastegate. Gonba be getting some 650cc injectors as well.
