326whp & 312wtq with minor mods

So I took my car to get a dyno done to see where I would be sitting at with the mods that are on the car. I was shocked to what the car made. With a 2g exhaust manifold, Hallman boost controller, vrsf fmic, and a dejon intake pipe with k
&n filter I made 265whp and 268wtq @ 9.1 psi. We turned the boost up some to 13.6 psi, but I ended up hitting fuel cut in the middle of the run so we turned it down to 13.1 which was when the car made 326whp and 312wtq. I am not to sure if anything has been done to the car internally, I checked the turbo its still the stock 14b. A few weeks go by and I'm doing a tune up on the car via spark plugs,wires,and valve cover gasket and me and my friend take the valve cover off and spotless. Like I mean this head looks like its only been on the car for a short period of time. I was talking to my brother who I bought the car from which he bought it from his friend and where trying to figure out if the car has different pistons, ported head, or something done that's not going to be visible unless we take the motor apart. Any ideas what would cause the car to make those kind of numbers and why I would be hitting fuel cut at only 13.6 psi? Thanks for any input.
 
When I move to Arizona im planning on getting a 2g intake for the 2g maf, full exhaust, injectors, fuel pump, fpr, fuel rail, and like a safc for the time being to adjust the fuel curve

I just seen your pictures, and saw a pic of the bay, and I gotta say that's one very clean engine...

How many miles did you say it has?

I'm only at 157,788 and thank you I try to take care of it and always cleaning it.

If he wants to believe he actually made that much power so be it. He'll find out soon enough when he runs 15.5 @90MPH

First off I'm not on here bragging about how much power I made on a dyno second off if you truly read my orginal post you would see I was asking about what would cause my numbers to show that high. I do believe that there is something going on here regardless if the turbo is a 14b or not. Thirdly do you actually know what all is done to my dsm if so please do tell me I would gladly like to know and if I do run a 15.5 @90mph who cares. If youre not willing to give me some insight on why my numbers where that high youre more than welcome to leave.
 
Its a mission to get this numbers on a 16g unless a good tune, i wonder how he made 326Whp on a 14b ? I find it almost impossible.

Pictures of the dyno chart will clear everyones doubts and make everyone happy .

Yeah i see it.
Well congrats ive never seen a 14b at such low boost make that amount of power.

My E316g at 22psi built block/head good tune/fuel system full bolt ons made 335whp .

Youre good man sorry if I came across a little miffed. To be honest im not really worried on the numbers on a stock 14b. For the 14b's what are the possibilities for a hybrid turbo.
 
Dyno is WAY off or you have a chipped ecu, fuel system upgrade and a much much larger turbo. I dont think you could mistake a turbo that would make that much power at that boost for anything stock looking.
Im leaning towards dyno being off.

Who cares about the numbers really. I mean, at least now you know you probably shouldnt tell people you're making that power, aside from that just enjoy the car. Modify it to your liking when you have time.

Even with a 20G compressor wheel on that TSA, no.

Not on pump gas at 13psi boost at my altitude and definitely not yours, feeding a 2.0L with a 100% VE across the rev range.

The 20G @ 13psi would get close down here, probably 285-300whp on a Mustang dyno under those conditions using today's weather info for my town.

Some back of the envelope math suggests the air temp needed to make the air dense enough at the compressor inlet to support that power at 13psi at your altitude would be so cold it's approaching unlikely the car would start. LOL

Yeah I'm going to have the car dyno'd when I get to Arizona to see what I'm really hitting down there. I will be moving to Buckeye Arizona so if there are any dsm tuners in the area I would like to meet up and get some feed back on the shops down there and just to make some new friends down there. I wont have any friends out there so looking to make some dsm friends out there to do cruises and meets with.

Absolutely! Ive heard and even experienced the horrors of a bad mechanic. It seems that 1: Otherwise competent mechanics are befuddled my the "mystery" of the 4g63. I dont get it, but ive heard too many stories of even mitsu mechanics f'ing stuff up to ever chance it.
2: machinist. Now this is where you HAVE to get work done but make this choice very carefully. Another lesson witnessed and learned first hand. In my case i took it to a reputable builder. More of a v8 guy but he was balancing a turbo v6 for a grand national when i walked in the first time. He had done a head for my dads 302 stang and i trusted him. Boy, i still to this day dont get it, but whatever was in that 4g63 got him all twisted. And it "twisted" the hell out of my wallet.

If you cant find a verified, tried and proven 4g63/evo machinist send off for a JAM shortblock or any supporting vendor listed. You will have an excellent motor return.

Just learn how to wrench on these cars yourself, thats the best bet. There are hundreds of helpful people and thousands of articles and threads that you can spend years learning from.

Yeah after what happened to my dads evo I going to do all the wrenching on the car myself. Ill definitely check that thread out too.

I put my Sentra on the dyno once...it made 600WHP all motor with only 80 PSI compression on 1 cylinder. LOL

1 way to verify HP would be to take it down the 1/4mile and see what kind of MPH you trap.
 
Ok for the record we calibrated the dyno where we held the rpm at 4000 and never took the car off the dyno unitl the pulls were finished. I know alot of you will say thats impossible I dont know what im talking about but whatever is done to the car i wont know unitl im finished moving.

That doesn't really mean anything. There are a ton of ways to wind up with a much higher or lower figure.

How about you get us some pictures and a serial number from the compressor cover before this goes any further?
 
Ok I will try to go out to the car and try to get some pictures of the the turbo/housing. Gotta love -8 degree weather.
