New eclipse, couple ?s with minor problems

First off, I just want to say that it was totally worth the day trip to get this car.. (10 hours there and a little over 10 hours back). Went from detroit, MI to virgina to get the car Couldnt be happier... this car is just unbelievable... anyways.. couple weird minor things im hoping someone can answer.

#1, I noticed sometimes when putting the gas to the floor, it seems like the car "jumps" for a second.. its kind of hard to explain.. you feel the power.. then it kinda like "jumps" but then the power is still there again after.. not sure if its fuel cut or maybe some general maintence i need to do.. I plan i doing a oil change pretty soon though.. anything else i should do? May help: T25, K&N FIPK, Dejon Tool LICP/UICP, 1G BOV, BPR7ES's, TurboXS HPBC 3'' N1 Downpipe, 3'' N1 Catback, boost at 16psi

#2, Apparently the a couple days before picking the car up the fog lights started blowing fuses.. We tried puting a new one in, and they stayed on, but right after shutting the hood they went out again. I tried again today and it blew right away this time. Im sure its probably just a short somewhere, but is there any common place this would happen or a good place to start looking?

#3, The lighting around the HVAC controls are currently out. They were on during our highway trip back, but the next day out. I took the console apart and checked all the wiring, and it was fine. The previous owner said it happened to him once, and all he did was hit it, and it came back on, with no problems after. Well i hit it, they came back on ... but the next day, out again.. and hitting it didnt work this time.. I checked the wiring again and there seems like nothing out of the ordinary. Also, when on (or off) they never flickered either like there was just a lose connection.. kinda weird..

You should always start off with a tune-up like plugs, wires, air and fuel filters. If that doesn't fix the problem, let us know and maybe we can give you some suggestions.
As for the fuse blowing, I would start at the foglights and try and trace the wiring all the way up. There's no telling where it is grounding out at.
The dash lighting sounds like a contact problem at the circuit board. If the wiring is all intact and none loose, you may need to take apart the HVAC and look around.

Any suggestions on good spark plugs, wires, oil and fuel filter? I want good stuff not cheap stuff I have a k&n air filter and already cleaned that with the re-charge kit.

i had a problem with my tail/parking lights that also controled things like the a/t shift lighting and the dash lighting it was a ground wire going into a power output on an aftermarket cd player. it took me and dad like 2 days to find it. but using a volt meter u can find just about anything....electrical that is.
