So i go out to start my talon today and i havent driven it for about 3days. I encountered a couple problems ....
1) the car ALMOST didnt start... it didnt even want to crank... obviously the battery right?
2) there is this annoying ticking sound comming from somewhere in the engine bay.
3) If i rev past 5k rpm there is this REALLY nasty squeeling sound im guessing from the turbo...
4) when i push the gas pedal there is a slight hesatation like a small puttering noise.
THE REALLY WEIRD THING..after the car warms up for a little bit the ticking goes away and the squeel goes away and the hesatation goes away. Can this all be caused by a crap battery? thanks for the help

Have you done all the maintenance on the car. Tune up including, new fluids, spark plugs and wires, oil, etc? Squeel could be from shaft play in the turbo but could you please explain the squeel a little better? I mean is it like a belt squeel or metal on metal squeel? Seems to me a tune up might be in order if its sputtering a little bit.

there is not enough power to run the ecu the right way...my galant sounds the same way when i jump it until there is enough power(battery power).

The squeel is kinda like a nasty whistle sound... doesnt sound much like a belt, but maybe. If it was shaft play, why would it only happen until the car is warmed up? Also, you said not to "get on it" until the car is warmed up. I wasnt driving the car, just reving it up at idle, is that just as bad?

I have that Same annoying ticking sound when my car is cold, I was told that it was most likely oil lifters, the person I spoke with said they are fairly loud especialy when cold.

my car has the smae issue, ive been meaning to ask. i have a 1.8 liter 1gb though, so if its shared by both motors...i wonder what it could be.

Its lifter tick, and its very common with cold engines or engines with high mileage. Simple put the oil passeages get clogged after a while (they are only 1mm in size). You can try oil additives that MIGHT work, or you can buy revised 3mm lifters.
