3 alternators in 1 year

Hi,

I have been breaking my head over this and have searched it a couple times when I've had the problem last time. My Starter Motor seems to go bad after 6 months of use... This is the 2nd one that I will be replacing in the last 12 months.

Any idea what could be killing the Starter motors?

What I changed twice was the Alternator idk what I was thinking when I wrote this

It could be improper grounding, improper belt tension, oil leaking into the casing, or a couple other things. Post up some more details about the symptoms/conditions of your alternator.

What alternators are you using? If they're under about $150, they're likely remanufactured units. Remanufactured alternators tend to fail a lot sooner than new ones. The last remanufactured alternator I had lasted only a year before I gave in and bought a brand new one (~$250).
