with all this power going on I need to upgrade the alternator to save some high end hp. Anyways will the neon alternator fit on the 420a eclipse? Reason asking is there is an aftermarket alternator that offers 270 amps. This will definitely be a good modification

What kind of "power" do you have going on that you need a high output alternator? Anything that fits a 420A engine and has the same connections should interchange.

Not necessarily. Different platforms utilize different accessory brackets and positioning.

Yeah sorry, i posted before i thought it through, my mind is behind my fingers today due to severe pain and associated prescriptions to manage it, LOL.

Dude before you post a comment like that make sure you at least look at my profile because there is over 15 grand in the car in performance parts so I kinda need a good ignition to back it up. Its on the profile man

How about you not be a little douche nozzle, i was asking a question to try and help, it's not like i was making fun of you for asking the question.

You could have been talking about a stereo for all anyone knew, a high output alt to "save high end HP" doesn't make any sense to me.

you dont need an aftermarket alternator for hp reasons. get an under drive pulley and thats good enough.

400 whp on stock alt no under drive pulley wasnt an issue on my old turbo car.

when your car reaches high rpm your spark plugs ignite faster. They use up more power from your battery not to mention all of the electrical devices I am going to have a good alternator that produces more amps is going to combat this to help out the higher rpms you go. The one I am looking at has 3 times the amps as the stocker 420a. ANyways sorry for being an azs so many people on here make questions like make sure to build your engine and other comments like that when they never click on my profile to see. You didnt say that so I should not of went off.
