3/8 npt vs 3/8 bspt

I'm confused on feeding the turbo from the oil filter housing. My question is, whats the difference between the Bspt and Npt fittings? could i use 3/8 npt instead of 3/8 bspt?

Bspt is British standard pipe TAPER. Npt is national pipe taper. They are different . You can't use a npt fitting in a bspt hole.
You can however buy adapters for about 20$

I checked STM's page and didn't see one, but yes I would buy from a reputable source. If I can find it, I will post that link. Maybe Extreme PSI or Forced Performance. I can't remember which one I found it on back when I was putting mine together but I will check and report back.

IMO, you could use 3/8NPT in BSPT.
3/8 BSPT
Major thread diameter, 0.656".
19 Threads per inch.

3/8 NPT
0.675"
18 TPI

As with all tapered threads, use some thread tape. It'll work but I would get the correct adapter...

The npt in bstp will crack the OFH if screwed in too far. I use a 90 adapter and a bstp to npt adapter to clear my lower ic piping.

Yes, that's with all tapered fittings ... Good Ole German torque spec works great 'gudntite'

If youre careful, you can use NPT in a BSPT hole. I deal with fittings for a living, and Ive even got two 3/8 NPT x -4 JIC 90* adapters in my own filter housing with no troubles at all. Just dont go crazy when youre tightening and balance between desired fitting position and tight.

I bought the oil feed kit from ExtremePSI but ended up not using it. The aluminum NPT fittings in Extreme's kit, when tightened down into the oil filter housing ended up tearing the threads on the fittings. I bought this one from FP and has worked great since day one.
