First time posting, a little sad, my reliable 2gNT Eclipse GS 420A I've had for the past 5 years that never cause me any issues hit a massive puddle during a sudden Ice storm in Montréal last week.
The engine did not get flooded although the battery light turned on for a short minute, and turned off.
I went back to work since it was my lunch brake. When I came back I let the car warm up for 10 min, car idled properly, battery light was not on. Everything was good until I left and my Oil light randomly came on (not flashing).
I was about to turn into the parking lot when the car died. I had my booster pack with me and went to boost it, but because of all the ice rain falling on me I accidentally put the red on black black on red and blew the fuse..
Got the car towed home that day.
I let it sit for 3 days until I was able to work on it.

After changing the engine fuse, with a boost the car started but the oil light was still present.

Although everything was running well, idling good, temp gauge perfect.

I decided to drive it to see what would happen, the oil light started to become intermittent. Was going on off on off, until it went away completely.

The next day I thought I was in the clear, as I drove it around for a solid hour no issues.

The car suddenly died on me again on the road this time it will not turn over.

Wondering if the ECU is intermittent/fried?
Checked crank sensor, its good.

Why wont the car turn over?

The alternator fuse looks intact but maybe it is blown?

Have you done any diagnosing besides the crank sensor? I would check for voltage on the starter wire while ignition in starting position. That will rule out whether the car is actually trying to start or not.

If getting no power, check the 2 large connectors on the ECU. I remember mine coming loose multiple times. And not because they were broken, they just liked to.

Also, is your battery properly secured? If you don't have a hold down kit for it then it will slide around, which ruins connections and bumps into nearby harnesses.

And one more thought. Your oil light and and shutting off might be two different issues. It sounds like either your oil pressure is low, or more likely your oil pressure sensor is bad. Those are a very common problem and usually fixes the light. Because of this, most auto parts stores will carry them.

Oil pumps are pretty good on these but maybe it didn't like that puddle, I'd drain oil and change new filter and check the oil pressure

Will test these out in the morning! Check the video of my eclipse in the ice storm!

I have a cam sensor code coming up on my scanner. If the cam sensor is bad. Hopefully switching it will help!

Will try everything today!

Thanks again for your feed back guys!
