My car has been sitting for 2 months because of the snow. Today i took the car out
around the block( there isnt any snow anymore ). Then the battery light comes on. Ive had starting problems before and got the alternator checked, got new battery, new cables. Now how is it that this car can brake down even while i dont drive it!!!!!! :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Battery light indicates your alternator is not charging properly. They can test good and still be faulty. Odds are your gonna need to replace your alternator. Cars don't like to sit, which could have caused alternator to fail if it was already on its way out.

I would check to make sure the belts are all tight and the all the bolts. I took my alternator out and got it tested and it passed. I put it all back together and its running fine. So if i were you ill make sure everything is all tight and go from there.

i took out my car again and actually stomped on the gas:)
no more battery light. SO its all good for now

checked my cables and fuses. all good
yea im going to tighten my alternator belt then
