I remember someone makes a harness to allow it to be a plug and play swap. When I had my '90, I remember buying the harness on ebay. I would look there first! It would make the swap a breeze.
This would prevent me from hacking my harness??
I wouldn't recommend putting a 2g maf in your 90 unless you have a way to tune. I say this because against the advice of others I tried it, and it made a nightmare out of everything from 2k to 3k rpms and stopped boosting over about 6lbs. As far as wiring goes, I just cut the connector out of my old maf, and bought the 2g maf with a connector, soldered as per vfaq.
Buy some 550cc injectors coupled with that 2g mas and you'll be fine. Won't be perfect but will definitely be good enough. I was trapping 114mph with this setup and nothing to fine tune.
So, would the 2G intake swap cause my 91 GST to run too lean? Would I need something like DSMLink to tune it with?
