I wasn't sure which forum to post in, so I just decided to put it here. I bought a 1G MAF-T for my Talon when I had plans to build it, and I had a change of heart when I found a red 2G. I was curious about the 1G MAF-T working in a 2G, Would it work? It appears the software on the two translators is the same, with the only obvious difference being the plug that plugs into the stock 2g MAF plug. It seems that if you cut the stock harness off and wired it up to the correct wires, it would surely work. I'm just trying to avoid selling my current MAF-T and having to buy a new one if possible. If anybody has done it, or knows of a person who did it and possibly made a write up, I would appreciate if you guys could help me out. Thanks. :dsm:

It'll work, it just takes a little wiring work.

I am running a 1g in my 2g as well. I hardwired my maf wires to the maft wires. GM harness stays the same.
Thanks a ton guys, I appreciate it. Nitro, do you have any kind of wiring diagram or can you take a pic of yours so I can see?
