2g JE 10:1 Pistons with 1g manley rods, cons and pros?

Is there anything bad about using these JE pistons from my locked up 7bolt motor with these new 1g manley I-Beam rods I bought from a guy online? Of course I'd have to pay a machine shop about $40 to bore out the wrist pins but it should be easy and should work perfect and not cause anything negative against my 600+hp goal I'm going to achieve correct?



P.S. This is going into a 6bolt motor. Sorry I forgot to mention that.

pros- powerful, less lag, takes less boost to achieve the same horsepower. plenty more

cons- high octane all the time, lower boost limit, more of a chance to break something.

Well I knew about the compression but I've never swapped around rods/pistons before and heard what it was like or anything bad about it or if its even possible on certain cranks or not.

like he said,use the highest octane fuel you can afford and watch the knock.youll make mad power with that compression ratio.

He already has the pistons. What compression they are means nothing. Reread his question.

Treat it like 2g pistons on 1g rods. You'll be fine.
