ok i am gonna rebuild my motor again! cuz a valve broke. i was wonderin if anyone has had experience with cp pistons versus je and eagle rods i read somewhere that eagle rods u have to get machined to get exact is that complete bull? also compression
9:1 or 8:5 pros and cons thanks for any help guys

Any new parts that you purchase you should at least do basic checks on regardless of who makes it! eagles i have found a little bit out on the advertised weights as a matched sets, Scat parts on the other hand check properly its mainly chinese mass production and are way off the mark! 128grms on one end of a counter balanced crank (good quality control)

Simple if you are serious about engine building it doesn't hurt to double check the parts you purchase for sizing and basic measurements. Sorry were you asking me suprata?

Are you sure that the head is ok, and did not crack a seat?

What is CP? Je's I have not heard great things about. I have heard of many failures. As was stated above, eagle on the import side is not the greatest company to get rods from. And the stock 1G rod's are good to the low 500 Hp mark. Just something to think about

The higher static compression you run, the lower overall boost level that you can run. I personally used Wiesco 8.5 with a .040 gasket, so I am in the low 8:3 range.

That was clear in your post.
What I did not understand is what Eagle and Scat characteristic’s are so maybe you can try to make me understand what is it you wanted to say.
Mitch.

CP pistons have proven to be worthwhile and durable in the Honda world. I'd put em in my 4g63 if I had a set.
