Resolved 2G High Rise Wing location placement

Title says it basically

I am purchasing a wing today and I am going to paint it and install it on my car. I was wondering what's the spacing between the spoiler and the rear of the truck hood?

I put mine as far back as I could without it interfering with the hatch closing.

There are many threads about this! You could search up a bit!
But to answer your question on the location, the highest tip of the spoiler has to be flat with the hatch on the back see threads for reference.

If you take the plastics in the trunk off you will see the mounting points already marked under the hatch ready to be drilled through.

All the points for mounting the wing are already there. stock location are pre drilled for low rise, high rise and talon wings

If you take the plastics in the trunk off you will see the mounting points already marked under the hatch ready to be drilled through.

While on the topic, does anyone know if these mounting points are on the talons? Took off the ugly factory one and have a gsx one ready to go.

I don't know about you guys but I'm pretty sure 2ga don't have mounting points under the plastic like 97 eclenger mentioned for 2gb wings, mine at least didn't (95 DSM) it did had for the thumbnail 2ga talon spoiler tho...

I put a low rise eclipse spoiler on my 95 Talon Tsi and the mounting points were there for it on the hatch.

just like the eclipse, its all there. depends if its high rise or thumb nail wing.

Yes but on my 95 GSX there is no high rise holes (as there was no high rise in 95-96) but as a talon and eclipse are the same there will be mounting holes for both wings of those years.
BTW going from a 3-piece low rise to the whale tail makes for about a million holes to patch. Make sure to patch those the right way.

I looked under the plastic on my 95 gst and didn't see anything. Ill look again to be sure. Wanting to put the high rise on it.

I had to install my high rise spoiler on my carbon fiber hatch after I bought it, very nerve racking. Measure ten times and cut once or measure once and cut times to get it right, basically if you end with four holes and it bolts up you did it right.

There are reference holes that give you a general idea of where to drill but it won't get it perfect, here's a shot I took during the install so you can get a reference point of where to look under the hatch plastics. If you still need help I can get a shot of the underside so you know what holes to line it up with...

My 97 had the marks for where to drill . I used ultra black to seal it to make sure water wouldn't get into trunk.
