I have a 1997 Eclipse GST and I need help with my shift points and my launching. So far on my car i have a full intake system, a GReddy type s bov, and all the free mods. I've run a best of a 15.2 and if i can remember a 2.2-2.3 60 foot time, but that was with a filter and free mods besides the bcs mod. My clutch has 150k on it and i've been told it needs to be replaced which is something I'm trying to do at the time.

Basically what I need help with is with these questions...

What should I be launching at and shifting at, given the mods, and just saying that I have at least a stage 1 clutch in??? (and also should i slip or dump the clutch)

Will the bov return tube have an effect on my times, if so, then how?

Also, do you think it's worth taking out the right headlight for cooler air flow to the intake??

Thank you for anybody that can help me!!!

Seems to me that you're having no problems launching. Some FWD guys would die to have your 60 ft times. You're running the time that you're supposed to run with your mods. I wouldn't be too concerned. But yeah if you got a new clutch, you'd definitely do better.

Really? I didn't think I was doing anything right. But I found out my exact 60 foot time was 2.352.

my mph was 90.233 mph but i've gotten it to a 91.5 once but i ran high 15 and it was my first time at the track.

My best 60 to date is a 2.2xx, with a bone stock gst you should trap in the 91-95mph zone. 15.2 bone stock on a worn engine isnt un heard of. Since your on the t25 shift at around 6k, play around with just under or just over to find the best results. I found that shifting AT 6k rpms and holding 3rd til I hit the traps worked best for me. The runs I shifted into 4th yeilded me a split second slower times.

bone stock my car was running 15.7 and then i did all free mods besides the bcs mod and i ran a 15.2.....then i had the intake and the bcs mod along with the bov that was NOT vented back into the intake and i ran 15.9 but the air was sooooo humid and thick...subaru sti's were running 15's and so were srt's. i want to go back on a day that is nice an cool and i bet i'll do better.

also what do you think i'll be running with a 3inch turbo back and boost controller at 15psi....(i plan to do this in the future)
