I have a 95 Eclipse GSX.

ECMLink, 6 bolt bottom, Eagle rods, Wiseco pistons, Crower valve train, Crower 414 cams, 1100cc FIC high z injectors, Walbro 255 fuel pump, big 16g turbo.

I’m having flooding issues, when I first swapped cams I got the engine to start and idle with 10-15% throttle. I adjusted CAS (1g) to get the idle to change & in hindsight I wish I hadn’t since I was already set for base timing. I adjust BISS screw as well and set ECMLink to target 1000rpm. Then left it alone and the next day I started the car without throttle and I didn’t catch it before stalling, and I have not been able to get the engine to start again just cranks and backfires so I played with CAS some more and trying more not realizing also that with key on the CAS pulses injectors and ignition.

Plug gaps were .016 on previous 30psi tune and I had 0 issues with car. I have verified cam timing (I have adjustable cam gears installed when I did cam swap) and have since gapped plugs to .025 and cleaned them. I reduced cranking fuel adj to 0 and I reduced coolant based fuel adj and reduced battery injector adjustments. Still flooding plugs.

Any help is very much appreciated. Attached is a photo of my VE table I’ve tried reducing that in cranking area as well. I haven’t tried new plugs but that’s next.

I forgot to mention I have spark and compression (160 across all cyl) 7 bolt head. Also getting rpm feedback.

I suggest pulling the plugs, lay a rag over the spark plug wells, disconnect the 1G CAS and crank the engine to dry out the pistons.

You will probably want to reset all the cranking adjust and other things you touched back to where it was when you were able to start it.

Check your Global Fuel value - does it make sense for the size injectors-and fuel you are running?
Check global dead time settings, are they close to recommended settings for those injectors?

if you can get it started and up to temp, you need to put the CAS back to the calibrated position so that ECM Link and your timing light match.

Your Global dead time would be the first adjustment after that.

Thank you. I’ve got the plugs out and going to replace with fresh ones tomorrow. Will do with resetting the values. The injectors were dialed in on last tune (remote tune from rix racing) I was thinking because it’s so cold out that the coolant based fuel adjustment was pouring fuel into the mix.

You can post a log the same way you posted the picture of you VE Map (Add Photos). That way we can review all the settings and if you include an attempt to start the car from initial turn on through cranking we can see what conditions and actions look like.

Another thing to add (which made me feel really dumb when I first tried uploading a log) is you have to be signed into DSMTuners on your laptop. I've noticed a lot of people taking pictures of their laptop and not actually uploading a log which is actually very easy. As mentioned you just click on the add photos which allows you to choose a file and you just click the log you saved.

I really appreciate all the helpful tips, I reverted all my settings to the tune for stock cams and I made the mistake of setting timing on exhaust stroke. SHE RUNS!
