On a 2g, if you have the "knock retard" graph enabled, will it still tell you when timing is being pulled since there isnt a knock sensor? I bought the car with link in it so im still learnin

Edit: Okay, so apparently 2g's have knock sensors but why cant you log knock with a palm pilot but obviously you can now with link?

Don't know why you can't log knock with a PALM logger, but with DSMLink you can log anything that passes through the ECU. The (DSMLink) PALM client version should accomplish the same, however, I haven't used the PALM client version so I can't confirm this.

Well the problem lies within the fact the previous owner is a douche bag to say the least and he wont transfer it. He didnt even give me the cable with the car...said his dog ate it "rolls eyes".....so now im usin my buddy "juddgsx"s cable he graciously lent me from alabama till i get the car tuned properly.........BTW THX AGAIN CHRIS!

But on a lighter note, the tune i was workin with before i was going by timing and o2 voltages.....which i had no knock, a few pulls later and i have 1-5 counts w/ a max of 1.3 deg timing pulled and it pulls a LOT harder! Ill post a log if i can find someone around here to let me use thier wireless internet card since my pos computer doesnt even have a port for the internet haha

1 Degree of knock retard is ok, some people tune for no knock but its up to you.

And the knock sensor sends the raw knock signal to the ECU, Pocketlogger cannot read this signal so thats why it can't log knock.

Oh well damn haha, yep, no more tuning problems, now i just have to figure out what im going to do when i get my maft.....the whole configuration chart for airflow seems a bit confusing

Airflow tuning on the GM MAF can be a little of a pain. Don't give up. Send Dave an E-mail with the guys name you bought it from if it's a ligit version..
