2g/1g Power steering question

I have a question or two..

First is it possible to install a 1g manual rack on a 2g car?

The reason i ask is cause my power steering in my car is slowly going out leaking, I'd love to delete it and clean up my engine bay, but trying to beast around a 3,000 pound car doesn't seem appealing


or does anyone know of any other ways to convert a 2g to manual rack

1G steering rack will not fit 2G.
Only 1.8 1G's came with a manual steering rack. That's what I am actually using on my GSX.
And there is no 2G that came with manual steering. So the only option you have is to delete the pump and go with the lines looped.

Why would u want a manual rack anyways unless its race car. If this is your daily driver, fix it right & enjoy power steering. Doesn't add that much weight anyways...
